Aleah Vintage is my sister's vintage clothing business. I gifted her a logo for her birthday shortly after she started buying and selling vintage clothing. She emphasized the styled text being more important than and icon or symbol that could serve as the logo, and I agree - the way this circle and text logo appears on social media and at her pop-up shop reflects her brand so well.
I searched for a font that had character and brought to mind vintage letterforms, tweaking them slightly for a fully unique and cohesive look.
The mid-century-era star shapes help fill in the circle while creating personality and retro flare.
Encapsulating the logo in a circular shape means the logo is more easily placed in a social media profile, more easily used on posters digital ads when placed on top of images, and is generally more easy for my sister to use anywhere, because she needn't worry about keeping the logo on any specific backdrop - because it has a backdrop built in.
The mini version of her logo can be visible and identifiable to her brand while viewed at the smallest size.
